A workplace car park is one of the best places to charge: cars stand all day and charging can follow solar output and free capacity.
In a company car park, cars stand for 8–9 hours, so the same grid capacity serves far more vehicles than fast charging would. Access can be limited to staff or opened to visitors.
Typical use cases
Charging demand in commercial property usually splits into three.
- Staff parking — long, predictable, daytime.
- Company fleet — vehicles rotate and must be ready by morning.
- Visitor and customer parking — needs a clear public/private label.
Power and quantity
More moderate-power points usually give a better experience than a few high-power ones. Smart charging up to 22 kW is an upper limit; actual power depends on the vehicle, free grid capacity, load management and any battery buffer.
Where to start
We start by assessing location, ownership and technical feasibility: free capacity, main board location, cable routes and the number of parking spaces. From that we choose the Mini/Medium mix and the control logic.
