Public charging

Public charging — clear before you plug in

A charger in a parking lot raises questions: is it public, what does it cost, how do I start and who do I call. The HUBCORE charge point view answers those immediately.

Clear in 10 seconds

Sample data
Is the charger public?

Yes — the “Public charger” badge is at the top of the card.

Is it available?

The status is shown large on the card: Available / Charging / Reserved / Fault.

What does it cost?

€0.29/kWh + €0.03/min time fee after 4 h (sample price).

How do I start?

Scan the QR code on the charger or use an RFID card.

Who do I call?

The 24/7 support number is on the card and on the charger label.

Charge point view on your phone

A sample of what a user sees after scanning the QR code. The data is a simulated concept demo, not a real charger.

In a public car park ≠ a public charger

A charger located in a public or semi-public car park is not necessarily a public charge point. Many chargers belong to a housing association, an employer or a private person and are meant only for specific users. Only the owner can decide whether a point is public. In HUBCORE this is always stated on the charger card.

Public charger

Open to everyone, price and terms visible, listed on the HUBCORE map.

Private charger

Only for allowed users (e.g. residents). Not shown on the public map.

Owner and manager view

Coming soon

The charger owner or manager decides in the HUBCORE customer portal whether a point is public or private. Below is a concept demo — settings are not saved and no button changes a real charger.

Session start, payments and the OCPP operator role are not built by HUBCORE in stage 1 — they arrive via a partner solution.

Reserve a free connector

A reservation lasts 15 minutes and always applies to a specific connector or parking bay, never the whole station. Charging is confirmed at the charger by QR code or RFID card.

Demo / API connection in preparation. No reservation reaches a real charger yet or blocks a physical socket — this demonstrates the reservation logic on sample data.
